Our commissioning service was held on Saturday evening. The turnout was encouraging and the preaching by Bro. Jimmy Millsaps and Bro. Tom Shook was tremendous. We appreciate all that came and also Truth Baptist Church and Pastor Shook for hosting the service. Please help us pray for the upcoming move in a couple of weeks. We hope to have a prayer letter out before we leave.
Arrived back from 11 days in Utah on Mon. 5/11. The Lord blessed the trip. We saw 5 souls saved, God provided us a building, and we are planning on leaving the first full week of July. Please help us pray for our house to sell and for the needs of the move.
The revival in Franklin ended last night(Fri. 24). God moved and we saw 8 souls saved, several get right with God and many encouraged. We want to thank the Lord for the good meeting, and Pastor Rodriguez and Grace Baptist Church for allowing us to come.

We want to thank the Lord for three souls saved this Sunday morning. One of these was Sherri's mother. I am glad that God is still saving lost souls.
The revival services at
Spring Mountain Baptist Church ended last night, February 13, 2009. We praise the Lord for 18 souls saved and several saints getting help from the Lord. Pastor Burchette and the church have been a tremendous blessing to our family these past two weeks and we are honored to be able to call them our friends. Thank you Pastor Burchette and church for allowing us to come and preach.

We found out on Thursday (Feb. 5) that we lost the baby. On Friday January 30, we had a regular Dr. visit and everything was going well. We were even able to see the heartbeat.On Wed. Sherri began having some complications and we saw the Dr. on Thur. The ultrasound showed that the baby had not grown since the measurements on Fri. when we saw the heartbeat. We are saddened, but we rejoice that we will meet our child one day. We decided to name the baby Gideon. Thur. on the way home and preparing for the revival services on Thur. night God was working in my heart in a special way.I preached that night on "Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires" Isaiah 24:15. That night God used what had happened in our life to so stir my heart toward Him and moved in the service that night and somewhere between 10-15 souls were saved, and many people in the altar doing business with God. We felt that God used our baby in a way to bring glory to Himself, and so we named him Gideon. "...I am the least in my fathers house." Judges 6:15 Gideon was the least in his fathers house, but God used him to bring a mighty victory.
Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

 This is Samnatha that the Lord allowed me to witness to and pray with while we were in Utah. The sign behind us is the sign for the Salt Lake Temple entrance. God allowed us to give the Gospel at the front door of the largest cult in Utah. Please pray for Samantha.
 This is a picture taken by my daughter at a Target parking lot. Michael S. had just come off a crack cocaine binge and was sober, and realized he was in trouble. The Lord helped me to take the Bible and share the Gospel with him for nearly 30 minutes. Michael admitted he needed to be saved and that if he died he would surely be in hell, but he just couldn't bring himself to ask for forgiveness. He would say "I'm a pretty good fellow most of the time." Please help us pray that the seed sown would bring forth fruit before it is too late for Michael. With a broken heart I watched Michael walk away with tears streaming down his face as he thanked me for taking time for him. Michael is no different from multitudes all around us, needing someone to tell them about Jesus. Although we can't save them, we must tell them. Please pray for us as we desire to share the truth about Jesus with the hundreds of thousands in Utah.

We believe that God hears and answers prayer. There is no doubt
about it, the greatest untapped resource in the Christian life is the matter of prayer. Pray each day. Pray for loved ones. Pray for church leaders and their families. Pray for your our family. Pray for the state of Utah. Pray for our nation. Pray for the lost. Establish a prayer list. Pray.
"Let everything have the value now which it will have on a sick bed; and frequently, in my pursuits, of whatever kind, let this question come into my mind, How much shall I value this on my deathbed?"
